USA Trip Fall 2007 * Day 3
Gasoline and Halloween

It's my third day in the USA - time to go to one of my favourite Fast Food places. Taco Bell for breakfast sounds like a great idea. As Flo thinks Taco Bell is gross, I took the car and got there. Flo told me to fill in some gas as the fuel gauge is kind of broken, so I planned that for the trip back (as it was only 5 miles one way). Well, what can I say?

I got to Taco Bell, but that was pretty much it. On the way back, about half a mile to go to the gas station the engine went off. It was the first time in my life that I ran out of gas. Thanks Flo for that experience ;-)
Taco Bell was good though - I've had a Soft Taco Supreme, a DoubleDecker Taco Supreme and a Gordita Supreme that came with a huge root beer... Kind of disgusting, I know - but it always reminds me of the time in Würzburg and Schweinfurt where I went to the US barracks with my friends almost every day to get something from Subway, Taco Bell, Anthony's Pizza and Frank's Franks.
Later that day we went to San Francisco where Flo wanted to buy a head for his tripod. As I had to go to San Mateo for a business meeting, I took him and dropped him afterwards in SF at Market Street. San Mateo is about 20 Miles to the south and I totally underestimated the traffic down there (yes, Christian, I know you warned me...). Anyway, the meeting was very good, I got all my questions answered and I think the product of that company (Mobile Complete) can help arvato mobile a lot.

As I drove back to SF to pick up Flo I dropped in to In-N-Out Burger to have a Double-Double Animal Style. Yeeah great stuff. Actually, they never freeze the patties and the fries are freshly cut out of the potatoe, fried in sunseed oil. Great food (yet for Fast Food).
I picked Flo up who was taking photos all day, ending up in a gay bar having some of the visitors posing in front of his camera with their Halloween costumes (he told them he was a photographer for a german magazine). Well, I picked him up at Castro & Market where there were more police officers than anything else (as there were some bloody riots taking place the year before on Halloween) and we went to Treasure Island to finally make some photos of SF at night using the great tripod with its new head (photos will follow).
